« on: October 07, 2011, 01:44:07 AM »
I'm still new to the whole idea of web sites and how to make them and I was wondering what perl/cgi was? I'm guessing from CGI it's more graphical? I have no idea though haha!

Read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perl

It's basically a system that lets you work on the likes of  graphics programming, system administration, network programming, finance, bioinformatics, and other applications. But yeah it's similar to the like of HTML, just more complex I'd say.

Perl is more of...website applications while HTML is more like webpages. It's much more sophisticated and difficult to learn.

I am also not well informed of perl or CGI so my question is what is difference in using ajax of microsoft for web programming than perl or CGI?And as pearl and CGI aren't used by much people doesn't it have possibilities of vulnerabilities?
