Is it worth competing for long tail keywords?
« on: August 06, 2014, 06:54:52 PM »
With long tail keywords, you will have a lot less competition than shorter keywords.  But, even now marketers have become smart to the use of long tail keywords and many of the less popular keywords are now overly saturated, so it's hard to compete for them anymore.  Is it worthwhile to compete for long tail keywords in such popular and high paying niches as weight loss?

With such a popular topic as weight loss, you will have trouble competing for any keywords, even longtail.  Your best bet is to choose a less popular niche or a super sub niche that almost no one is competing on and hope it gains popularity as time goes along.
